When Should You Clean Your Bedroom?

Lately, I’ve been getting into the habit of cleaning and organizing everything in my house. These past few days, I have helped clean my sister’s bedroom, our shared bathroom, and my bedroom. I haven’t stuck to just one project at a time; I’ve been cleaning one while in the process of cleaning the other. Once I’ve completed cleaning these three rooms with the help of my sister, both of us will start cleaning things every day, every week, and once a month to keep things tidy. The Woman And The Orb – Chapter 4

She slowly walked outside, trying to not make a sound. She carefully opened the wooden door and heard a crash behind her. She spun around to see a rat knock over a vase full of flowers. She opened the door not caring whether it made a noise because if Giovanni was close by, he would’ve already heard the vase crash on the wooden floor.

As she ran outside, it started raining. And it was raining hard. She ran thought forest and made it to the lake. She knew Genevieve’s home was not far from the river.

Lily doesn’t have to cross the river to get to Genevieve’s house from her own. She turned around and saw Giovanni running towards her, full sprint.

She faced the rough, flowing river, transformed into a falcon, and flew across the river. The river is too wide for Giovanni to jump across, so he is stuck.

After crossing, Lily flew the way the river was flowing. She recognized where the forest was thinning. That was where they had met Lucy for the first time. She flew a little ways and then saw smoke. She flew closer and saw Genevieve’s house. She glided down and transformed back into a human.

She saw Genevieve speaking to her mother, while preparing dinner. She walked inside and said hello to Elizabeth, Genevieve’s mother. “Genevieve, I found the notebook.” Lily whispered. “Good.” Genevieve said, quietly.

“Lucy is staying in the shed during her stay, because my mother would freak out if she new she was from the future. Well, she’s a dragon and that was crazy.” Genevieve said hesitantly.

“True, but I think it’s good that you care. But, you should probably eventually tell her.” Lily said

“Ok, you’re right.” Genevieve said, ” I tell her while you go get Lucy.”

“Ok” Lily said. Lily goes to get Lucy and inform her that they are one step closer to getting her back home. She wonders if she should tell Genevieve and Lucy about Giovanni. “I can’t.” She thought. Lily opens the door to find Lucy mysteriously gone. Along with the mask.

Genevieve steps inside her home and tells her mother all about what has happened recently. Her mother didn’t freak out but she was pleased that Genevieve did the right thing and told her everything.

Lily slams the door open and blurts out, “Lucy and the mask are missing!” “What?!” Genevieve says confused. “I opened the door and now she is missing.” Lily says, still in shock, “We need to find her now.”

Lily calmed down and thought for a moment. She knew exactly how Lucy had gone missing. “I have something to tell you. I’ve had a history with a prince. He was cursed for life and is looking for a cure. When I grabbed my mothers notebook from my home, he chased me down a captured me. He got a hold of my notebook and read some of it, I guess.” Lily said, ashamed she hadn’t told Genevieve and her mother previously.

“Like I mentioned before, there is a page in the notebook that covers the Book of the Northern Kingdoms.” Lily exhales, “And the mask. When I escaped, Gio probably somehow followed me and captured Lucy.”

Genevieve wasn’t in total shock anymore but was still nervous after Lily gave more detail on what the curse was.

Queen Elizabeth I – England’s Golden Age

This trimester, my sister, Lily is learning about England’s Golden Age in history. When I was in her grade, I had learned about it too and everything about the Golden Age really fascinated me. We also had a project where we would draw a name written on a piece of paper from a box and then fill out a bunch of questions on that person. I drew out a piece of paper I got Queen Elizabeth I.

Here some facts about Queen Elizabeth I:

  1. Queen Elizabeth I reigned from 1558 to 1603.

2. Queen Elizabeth I spoke many languages.

3. Queen Elizabeth I executed her cousin Mary on February 8, 1587 for treason.

4. Queen Elizabeth I was born on September 7, 1533 and died on March 24, 1603.

The Woman And The Orb – Chapter 3

“What’s your name?” Lily asked.

The girl said shyly, “My name is Lucy.”

“That is a very pretty name. I’m Genevieve” Genevieve said.

“And I’m Lily.” Lily said proudly.

The three girls needed to figure out how to get Lucy home. Lily walked through the woods to her house. While Lucy and Genevieve headed back to Genevieve’s house.

Lily opened her chest looking for her mother’s notebook. That notebook had all of her mother’s research in it. When she skimmed through it as a child, she remembered seeing a page about the Book of The Northern Kingdoms.

She looked for a few moments and then heard a knock on the door. She faced the door, noticing a tall figure through the cracks in the wood. She knew exactly who it was.

She tried to remain as quiet as she could, but heard the figure say with its deep voice, “I know you’re in their Lily. You can’t hide from me forever.”

She looked back at the chest, and fumbled through the contents, and finally found the notebook. She picked it up and ran out the back door.

The figure heard her leave and darted around the house, to see her running towards the rough river, located a few yards away from Lily’s home.

The figure ran on four legs, dark fur blowing in the wind. Gold eyes focused on the now small bird flying into the distance.

Lily flew higher, higher, and higher until she could no longer see the creature, she had once known. She continued flying along the tree line, almost crossing the river, until a large paw swatted her down to the ground. She laid there, unconscious, to be picked up and taken captive.

Genevieve and Lucy walked up along side Genevieve’s home. “My mother will freak out when she sees you and discovers you are from the future.” Genevieve whispered.

“Genevieve, that’s alright. I don’t want to cause issues. Especially if I could mess up the timeline.” Lucy whispered along with Trying not to step in mud and mess up her nice shoes. She definitely was not expecting to walk through the woods after crawling through a hole in the wall of her house.

Genevieve walked into the house, trying to distract her mother, so Lucy could get to the shed to live in during her stay. Genevieve had mentioned that it was the best she could do for her at the moment even though she is a princess.

She told Lucy that she and her mother were living where they were because her father was dead and an evil queen took over their kingdom. She told her that it had only been a few months since that happened.

Lucy had been thinking on the way to the shed. Her mother read many books to her during her early childhood. She thought about the stories and their characters and realized one of the princesses in a story read to her was named Genevieve. All those stories were true!

Lily woke up laid on a hay bed with cotton blankets and another blanket folded up to serve as a pillow. She turned her head to see Giovanni, the furry creature that picked her up, sitting across from her. She sat up to find she was tied with strong ropes to the bed. Giovanni grinned as he strangely walked over to her, as if he was injured. “Gio, let me guess, you injured yourself while capturing me.” Lily said, knowing it was something more serious. It looked like… a stab wound?! Where did he get that from!

“Ha, very funny Lily.” Giovanni said, sarcastically. “I actually ran into some hunters from Elizabeth’s kingdom.”

Lily interjected, “Elizabeth isn’t in control anymore, neither is her daughter Genevieve. A witch forcefully took over.” “Oh, so that’s what happened.” Giovanni said, sharply, “I heard the king died, so I thought they killed him.”

“No!” Lily screamed weakly.

Giovanni stared at her suspicious of her reaction. He walked out of the hut, Lily was trapped in. She used his time of absence to barely reach her bag on the table next to her with potions to disintegrate the rope. “No rope can match my potions.” She thought.

She stood up, checked her bad for the notebook and saw it was missing. She swore she put it in there before she was knocked out. Lily looked around the room and saw the notebook facedown open on a page.

She flipped it over and saw it was on a page 34. Lily doesn’t know why her mother marked the pages, but she didn’t mind it. She looked at the title of the page which read, “Diamond Lavender”. She never noticed this before, but the books contents were so neatly written it was unreal.

The Woman And The Orb – Chapter 2

2 days had passed and Genevieve’s mother is getting better. Lily and Genevieve decided to go out into the forest to collect wood for the farm. Instead of chopping wood down by hand, Lily used her magic to lift the axe and chop the trees down by it self. After they finished they heard an odd noise behind them. They turned sharply to find a young girl with a mask. She was wearing a black sweater, a navy top, and a purple knee length skirt. She was not dressed in any way Lily or Genevieve had seen before.

The girl asked in confusion, “Where am I?”

Lily said calmly, “You are in the forest just beyond the border of the northern kingdoms.”

“The northern kingdoms? Where is that?” tilting her head.

“Uh, the northern kingdoms is along the ocean of the forgotten. A forbidden place for all travelers.” Said Genevieve as confused as the girl with mask was.

“What year is it?” The girl asked.

“It is 1630.” Lily said very slowly.

“1630!? I have to get back home now.” Said the girl.

“Wait, where did you get that mask?” Lily said recognizing the mask.

“It was in my home, I found this secret door and I crawled through this tiny space and I found this big elaborate room. I saw this mask on a pedestal. I decided to put it on and the floor underneath me disappeared and I fell through. Now, I am here.” The girl said.

“I recognize that mask.” Lily said.

“Isn’t it in the Great Book Of The Northern Kingdoms.” Genevieve said understandingly.

“Yes, but how did you read it? It is in the most secure vault on earth. It is in the castle of Kind Terrance.” Said Lily in a very confused voice.

“I used to live there.” Said Genevieve.

“No way, your Princess Genevieve! How come I didn’t think of it before?” Lily said shockingly.

Genevieve thought, “If that mask was in the book, what was it’s category? Was it time, power, invisibility, strength, mind, or wishes? It was time!”

“What time are you from?” Asked Genevieve.

“Me?” The girl said.

“Yes.” Genevieve said.

“I am from 2021.” The girl said proudly.

That is almost 400 years into the future! Lily said in utter shock.

The Woman And The Orb – Chapter 1

A few days before the disaster.

King Terrance says nervously, “Elizabeth, what are we going to do for Genevieve’s birthday. She is turning 16.”

“Well, I don’t know. It’s her 16th birthday, what would a 16 year old want?” Queen Elizabeth says with disappointment.

“We could give her the latest dress in Mrs. Marty’s Fashion Shop.” King Terrance says with delight. “She would love it.”

“I agree.” Queen Elizabeth says happily. “The dress she will receive must be extravagant!”

Day of “The Disaster”

Screaming. Shouting. Running. Hiding. A women’s evil laughter.

“What do you think of me now? Do you think I am still weak?!” Miranda says with malice.

“You are weaker than ever. You still have not learned your lesson, have you? I have told you before, love is more powerful than hate.” King Terrance says struggling to stay strong.

“Never, you monster. You will never understand, will you?” Miranda screeches at the top of her lungs.

The look of how my father gets drained of his life force will never leave me alone.

“Father!” Jenavive screams despairingly. “No!”

“Terrance! No, my beloved!” Queen Elizabeth says with hate, fear, and remorse.

Queen Elizabeth is boiling red. No wait, purple? She starts transforming into some kind of creature. It takes a second for Jenavive to realize what she is looking at, she is looking at the last dragon.

In a low voice, Queen Elizabeth turning to Princess Genevieve, “Go, run!” she pleads.

Princess Genevieve runs with fear and escapes out of the secret hatch.

She runs through the forest when she hears a terrible scream.

She sees the dragon fall down into the forest just a few feet ahead of her. She runs to her mother.

Queen Elizabeth says exhaustedly, “Leave me.”

Princess Genevieve says in defiance, “No! I am not leaving you mother! And besides we can take refuge in the forest for now.”

5 Months Later

“Darling, soup is ready!” Elizabeth calls for Genevieve.

“Coming mother!” Genevieve says, running towards the table. After she sits down, “Mother, aren’t you tired of having soup everyday. We should build a farm and we could make steak. We could even expand our range of crops for salads.” Says Genevieve hopefully.

“If you’d like, darling.” Her mother says tiredly.

Genevieve runs out into the forest with an axe to chop down trees for wood. She starts chopping one down and then she hears a twig snap. She looked over in the direction it came from and she saw an adorable white puppy with light blue eyes. She left the wood temporarily and brought the puppy home. She could feel the softness of its white fur when she cuddled it tightly on the short trip home. When she arrived, she found her mother laying on her straw bed. She was weaving another blanket.

Genevieve thought, “She has been doing that a lot recently. We already of plenty of blankets. Is she okay.” She did not want to be rude so she didn’t say anything. She chose to tell her mother about the puppy in the morning when her mother was more awake.

It was morning now so Genevieve went back outside to get the wood. She left the puppy in her room with water and some unseasoned chicken. She did not want the dog to get hurt just in case it had health issues.

She made it to the forest and then she saw the wood she left on the ground last evening. She brought it back to the house and she stumbled upon a house that clearly wasn’t hers.

She sat the wood down gently, trying not to make any noise. She peeked through the window and she saw a young lady with a purple cloak and a black hat. She had green nails and she wore black heeled boots.

Genevieve thought to herself, “She looks about my age so maybe she will be nice.”

She moved over to the door and knocked lightly on it. She heard footsteps coming towards the door. Then the young lady opened the door. She saw Genevieve and smiled. The lady asked, “Would you care to come in?” Genevieve wanted to be polite so she entered the small home. The lady told Genevieve to sit while she mad 2 cups of tea. The young lady introduced herself, “Hello, my name is Lily. I am the village brewer.” Genevieve was shocked by two things. She had no idea there was a village nearby and she just sat down in a witches house for a cup of tea! Lily noticed Genevieve looked a little frightened so she tried to comfort her by calmly saying, “I won’t hurt you.” Genevieve was still frightened but relaxed a little. “Sorry, what was your name again?” Lily said calmly. “Genevieve. My name is Genevieve.”

“That is a wonderful name.” Lily said with delight.

She also asked if Genevieve had a home.

“Yes, I do. I live with my mother but recently she has not been feeling too well. She turned into a dragon when my father died a few months prior to this moment.” Genevieve replied.

“I actually might be able to help her feel better. I have a couple potions that would work.” Lily said proudly.

Genevieve and Lily exited the house and Genevieve picked up the wood. She led Lily to her house at around nightfall. Before they left the home, Genevieve noticed that Lily grabbed two bottles. One with a hot pink color liquid inside. And one with a bright metallic purple inside. Genevieve open the door and realized her puppy must have escaped because it was outside of her room in the kitchen. She asked Lily if the puppy was a girl or a boy and after lily examined the puppy, she told Genevieve it was a girl. She made a suggestion for a name, Kara. Genevieve loved the name.

She brought Lily and Kara to her mother. Her mother is shocked to see a puppy licking her face. Genevieve picks the puppy up off of her. Lily kneels next to Elizabeth and gives her the hot pink potion and the bright metallic purple potion. Genevieve notices that her mother feels better. Lily told her she would be back to her normal self within a day or two.
